My Atmel Norway Internship

As part of my University course requirements, I was required to undertake 12 weeks of Industry Experience, with an accredited engineering company during the end of year holidays between University semesters. Normally students apply for such experience through local companies, however due to a happy coincidence I was able to land a paid 12 week internship with Atmel Norway over the 2010-2011 Australian summer (Norwegian winter) break.

Due to my love of all things AVR, getting an internship with the AVR Applications group right at the heart of Atmel over the other side of the world was a dream come true, and something I never thought I'd experience. This short time allowed me to evaluate Atmel as a potential source of employment in the future (and them me as a potential employee) while gaining very valuable experience with a true engineering company amongst some of the world's best engineers.

I was in Norway from the 7th of December 2010 - 8th March 2011. This page serves as a central point for my stay, collating my published pictures, videos and blog entries about my trip.

A very special thank you to all of Atmel Norway, for their kindness, wisdom, patience and acceptance they expressed to me during my short intership.
